In general my research is concentrated at surface chemical reactions and determination of
the surface atomic and electronic structure.
Objects -
- Thin single crystalline films of almost all of lanthanide metals on Si(111) and W(110)
- Silicon thin films on single crystalline films of various lanthanide metals
like Si/Yb(111), Si/Gd(0001), Si/La(0001).
- Oxidation of single crystalline films of lanthanide metals like Oxide/Gd(0001).
- Surface of liquid pure metals like K and Sn.
- Surface of liquid eutectic alloys like BiSn, AuGe and AuSi.
- Oxidation of liquid metals and metallic alloys like SnO/Sn and Oxide/AuSi.
Methods

- Liquid surface x-ray scattering including: liquid surface specular x-ray reflectivity,
off-specular diffuse scattering, grazing incidence diffraction (GID)
- Solid surface x-ray scattering including: specular x-ray reflectivity, magnetic x-ray reflectivity,
soft magnetic resonant x-ray reflectivity
- Photoelectron emission spectroscopy (PES) including: ultraviolet PES, angle resolved PES, x-ray photoelectron
emission spectroscopy.
- Auger electron spectroscopy, low energy electron diffraction, electron energy loss spectroscopy.
