Try clicking on one of the colored symbols. You should see the event for that user on the status bar and in the submission form. The point-and-click convenience for entering information into the personal databases is here. Click on your symbol on a start date and then drag the mouse to the end date. Change the comment and the reason, and submit your event. Of course, your attempt will fail if you don't have your password set up.
If you are not a member of the XRAY group, you will not be able to submit events. Please contact Konstantin Penanen if you interested in the calendar applet itself, and not in the schedules of the XRAY group members. If you are a member of the XRAY group, please log onto hutrough, cd to /u1/pub and run
addme username passwordThese are the name and the password with which you should be able to submit events. If it fails, members of the group should edit their files located in ~www/java/Calendars. The files should be in the format
"Start Date" "End Date" reason_number "Comment",one event per line. For example, look in my file. The default event, "in the lab", is created automatically for all users.
