Cogratulations to Mihai Ibanescu, returning BAUPC-98 champion who reclaimed his title again this year, becoming the first person to win BAUPC twice in a row! Mihai was also the only student who broke 50-point barrier this year and the only one who gave correct solution to problem-killer #6 ("Winding Spring").
This year we are giving away money prizes to 7 top contenders. Dmitry Vasilyuk and Abhinav Kumar are tied for 2nd/3rd place and 3 students - Michael Westover, Daniel Preda and Andrei Gnepp are tied for 5th, 6th and 7th places.
On a team front, MIT placed first, with Harvard beating Caltech by .5 point (or 1 ranking point) for the second place. Princeton was fourth and Berkeley came in fifth.
